New Delhi , Aug 8

THE Finance Ministry said on Monday that August 31 is the due date for filing of annual information return with respect to transactions in the 2004-05 fiscal.

An official release said that the system of receiving annual information returns has been operationalised.

Under these returns, there are seven types of transactions that would have to be reported.

The returns can be filed either online with Tax information Network (TIN) hosted by NSDL or at any of its front offices called TIN facilitation centres.
