CII meet on Chinese economy today

Hyderabad , Aug. 9

THE CII will organise a daylong conference on `China - An India Opportunity' on Wednesday.

"There is a knowledge gap between India and China. We should make efforts to bridge this gap," said a CII release.

As part of this effort, the CII had decided to organise a series of conferences across the country on the China phenomenon.

Speakers from both China and India would lecture on various aspects of the country's economy and its transition into a major trading entity.

Prof Yongjun Li of Beijing University would speak on `The reform of China's State-owned enterprises' and Prof Zhou Qiren of the China Centre for Economic Research will lecture on `The price is right - How and why prices for Chinese products have become so competitive'.
