Storage Hitachi Data launches new storage solution Our Bureau
Mr Thomas Zack, Vice-President, Marketing & Operations, Asia-Pacific
New Delhi , Aug. 9 HITACHI Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, on Tuesday introduced TagmaStore Network Storage Controller model NSC55 aimed at delivering advanced functionality of the high-end to the broader mid-range and small and medium businesses market. "A challenge for top-tier mid-range customers is to deliver world-class enterprise service with limited resources. Conventional mid-range storage leaves much of this market underserved. However, Hitachi has addressed this issue with cost-effective Network Storage Controller, aimed at delivering advanced high-end function in a user-friendly manner," Mr Thomas Zack, Vice-President, Marketing and Operations (Asia-Pacific), Hitachi Data Systems, said here. Hitachi has also introduced a new line up of next generation, mid-range, channel optimised modular storage systems - The TagmaStore Adaptable Modular Storage and Workgroup modular Storage Lines (models AMS500, AMS200, and WMS100). Successors to Hitachi Thunder 9500V Series, these new products feature virtualisation capabilities such as logical cache partitioning, host storage domains and virtual ports, he said.
