Economic growth

This is with reference to the article "Chhattisgarh will lead in economic growth" (Business Line, Aug 9). Already, the Chief Minister of the State, Dr Raman Singh, has taken major initiatives in producing bio-fuel. If he is able to take full advantage of the natural resources in the State, it will fulfil one of region's major objectives.

Considerable attention must also be paid to education and the welfare of the tribal population in the State. Good governance in these areas will bring about the required change.
