Tata Tele plans 700 more True Value outlets in Karnataka

TATA Teleservices Ltd is planning to add 700 `True Value' outlets across Karnataka by the end of 2005.

Mr Prabhat Pani, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Teleservices, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, told this to newspersons after inaugurating the fifth `True Value Hub' in Karnataka at Mangalore on Wednesday. He said that `True Value Hubs' are integrated service centres providing complete end-to-end experience for customers.

Tata Indicom covers 150 towns in Karnataka, including 53 towns in the Mangalore region. The company would soon cover 16 more towns, including Birur, Koppa, Soraba, N.R. Pura and Shikaripura, in the Mangalore region, he said. Tata Indicom services are available in the ghat sections between Hassan and Hubli.

The company, which has presence in 1,500 towns of 20 circles, is planning to cover 2,500 towns during the current year, he said.
