HYDERABAD: The CII-Sohrabji Green Business Centre (CII-GBC) is organising a two-day conference on `Green Cementech' here from August 11.

The objective was to encourage cement plants to utilise waste as fuel and to discuss on issues related to environment, a GBC press release said here on Wednesday. The meeting would also discuss "how to make cement plants in India lead for greener process and product," the release said.

Member-Secretaries of Pollution Control Boards of several States, including Dr B. Sengupta (APPCB), would address the conference. Leading technology suppliers and auxiliary equipment manufacturers such as Humboldt Wedag and Godrej & Boyce would make presentations on the upcoming technologies in their respective areas.
