New Delhi , Aug. 10

IMAGINE travelling in your own jet aircraft without actually owning it... Welcome to the world of fractional ownership of aircraft that allows corporates and high-networth individuals to fly when and where they want to in the comfort of a Cessna Citation aircraft.

The aircraft is capable of carrying six passengers from Delhi to Saudi Arabia, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and at least 450 other airfields within the country.

Club One Air, which claims to be the country's first fractional aircraft ownership company, launched its services with three Cessna Citation aircraft on Thursday. The club will offer fractional ownership starting from Rs 2 crore to Rs 12 crore that will offer the member annual flying time. The members will be required to share the monthly management cost and also pay for the direct operating cost as and when they fly.

The Club has already imported three aircraft and would bring in another two in the next 20 days. It plans to have a fleet of at least 100 aircraft within four years. The age of the aircraft vary from four to 10 years.

The promoters have made an investment of Rs 100 crore over the past one year and intend to pump in a similar amount in the next 12 months.

"We have already sold six fractional ownerships and hope to have at least 60 members by the end of the year," the Managing Director, Club One Air, Mr Manav Singh, said.
