CNBC TV18 and Airtel have joined hands to launch the India Business Leader Award (IBLA 2005) programme, which would be part of the Asia Business Leader Awards initiated by CNBC Asia.

According to a press release issued by the channel, the India business leader would be felicitated by the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, at a function in Delhi.

The IBLA 2005 would reportedly have four award categories — India Business Leader of the Year, India Corporate Citizen of the year, India Innovator of the Year and India CEOs' Choice of the Year.

As a build up to the awards function, the channel would also launch an on-air initiative, which would include a series of 30-minute shows anchored by the channel's Corporate Editor, Mr Govindraj Ethiraj.
