Hyundai hikes Santro prices

Our Bureau

Bangalore , Aug. 12

HYUNDAI Motor India has announced a price hike of up to Rs 11,000 of its flagship brand Santro Xing.

The hike serves to cover increased input costs and partially correct the reduction in dealer margins that was effected in June.

The price increase comes into effect from August 16.

The Santro Xing, which was launched in May 2003, has seen three price increases, including the hike necessitated by implementation of Euro III norms in February this year, says a company press release.

The Santro variants, which will be affected by the price increase, are the Euro III Santro XK (by Rs 6,000), XL (by Rs 10,000) and XG (by 11,000).
