KOLKATA: Mr Nilotpal Roy, who was functioning as the Executive Director (Works) of Durgapur Steel Plant, has taken over as Managing Director of the Burnpur-based IISCO.

Mr Roy would be the first MD of IISCO after its on-going merger with Steel Authority of India Ltd.

Mr Roy, a post-graduate in chemical engineering from NIT (earlier RE College), Durgapur, had taken up his new post on August 4, 2005. It may be noted that he began his career at Durgapur Steel Plant as a Graduate Engineer in 1971.
