New Delhi , Aug. 13

VIRENDER Sehwag has joined the growing list of cricketers associating with the food business.

The `butcher of Najafgarh' as he is often referred to, today announced the launch of `Sehwag's Favourites', a food court designed to cater to traditional Indian tastes.

Dishing out a variety of dishes hailed as favourites of Sehwag, Creative Stride Taste Buds said it would be opening two food courts in Delhi and Punjab targeted at the "masses".

`Sehwag Favourites' serving food from Indian vegetarian to exotic Lebanese cuisine, will be open at TDI Fun Republic in the Capital and Ansal Plaza in Ludhiana in the second week of September, the owner of Creative Stride, Mr Siddharth Dilawri, said at the launch function here.

Speaking at the function, Mr Sehwag said that other than hitting the ball, food is something that interests him the most. "Once away from the cricket ground, I can always connect with my fans through the medium of food. I have taken personal interest in the menu that would include many of my favourites," he added.

Mr Dilawri said Creative Stride also planned to open outlets in Mumbai and Jalandhar, but declined to reveal the amount being invested in any of the ventures.
