Build-a-Home exhibition in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A four-day-long exhibition organised by the Indian Trade Fair Foundation, `Build-a-Home,' which got under way here has been drawing crowds. As many as 80 firms are participating in the annual event that features a variety of products ranging from cement to even a ready-made swimming pool.

The swimming pool has a capacity of 12,000 litres and sports a two-seater Jacuzzi, underwater lighting and costs Rs 2.8 lakh. Furniture, tiles, electrical switches and home appliances are some of the other attractions.

Nationalised banks such as the State Bank of India, State Bank of Travancore, the UCO Bank, Vijaya Bank, Indian Bank, LIC Housing Finance, the Kerala Transport Development and Finance Corporation (KTDFC) and HDFC have set up kiosks for home loan products at the fair.
