Coimbatore , Aug. 14

STUDENTS and professionals turned in large numbers to attend the day-long programme `Shaping Young Minds' organised by the All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Coimbatore Management Association at the PSG College of Technology here.

The Coimbatore programme, which is the seventh in the series of events organised this far across locations such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Indore is said to be biggest and best.

Over 2,000 students and professionals from 38 management schools participated in the event.

The enthusiastic crowd was not content with just listening to the speakers— Mr M.V. Subbiah, CEO of the Murugappa Group, Mr Sachin Pilot, the young and dynamic Congress candidate and Lok Sabha member from Dausan in Rajasthan, Mr Shekar Gupta, Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Express, and Ms Kiran Bedi, the country's first woman IPS officer — but kept the interactive session more lively.

While the speakers did not deliver a typical `management' talk, they managed to convey the message by linking their experience at every stage of their career path to some management concept.

The AIMA has evolved this programme to provide a platform for young professionals to interact with leading icons from different fields.

The programme seeks to help budding managers find the common link between management of self, choosing a career path and achieving the appropriate work environment.
