SBI card launched in Madurai

MADURAI: State Bank of India has launched its `SBI Card' here. With this, Madurai has become the 79th city in the country and 7th in the State where the SBI credit card is available. Launching the card, the Chief Executive Officer, SBI Cards, Mr Roopam Asthana, and the SBI General Manager, Mr Pradeep Kumar, said the card has come with a comprehensive range of protection including personal accident insurance cover, lost baggage protection, lost card protection and purchase protection.

It also has 0 per cent transaction fees on fuel purchase at IOB and IBP outlets, 0 per cent balance transfer and flexipay i.e. low interest loan instalment programme. Internet banking facility is available for the card for viewing accounts.

As an introductory offer, transaction fees have been waived for cash withdrawals from the SBI Group ATMs in the State for the first 45 days. Thereafter, an interest of 2.75 per cent will be charged, they said.
