Kerala Govt aid to plantation sector

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has sanctioned Rs 1 crore as emergency relief for workers in the plantation sector, says an official press release.

The amount will be used for the welfare of plantation workers in five districts - Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki, Palakkad and Wayanad.

Officials in these districts have been directed to take immediate measures to use the funds for the welfare of plantation workers, the release adds.
