Hegde institute to open centre for studies in banking, insurance

Mangalore , Aug. 15

THE Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district will set up a centre, exclusively for studies on banking and insurance.

Dr M.S. Moodithaya, Director of the institute, told Business Line here on Monday that the institute has taken up research projects on various aspects of banking for several financial institutions. "We want to provide these services in a formal way, and the centre is an effort in that regard," he said.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Corporation Bank, Mr V.K. Chopra, will formally inaugurate the `Centre for Studies on Banking and Insurance' at Nitte on August 16.
