DD's studio in Madurai

MADURAI: Doordharshan's third production studio in the State, established at a cost of Rs 9.90 crore, was inaugurated by the MP, Mr P. Mohan, here.

The centrally air-conditioned production facility includes a studio of 150 sq meter with two camera chain, digital production switcher, audio mixer, digital video recorder and associated facilities. It also has moving light batten system along with lighting fixtures and two EFP/ENG camcorders with edit suits for field-based recording and post-production.

The programmes from the centre will be up-linked from Chennai for the Pothigai regional channel and National DD1 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. for three days in a week, the Engineer-in Chief, Doordharshan, Mr N.S.Ganesan, said.
