AP CM launches Agro Rythu Seva Kendras

HYDERABAD: The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has launched 113 Agro Rythu Seva Kendras in nine districts of East & West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Karimnagar, Medak, Kurnool, Anantapur and Kadapa.

These kendras, being set up through AP AGROS, would be a single window to supply quality seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, agricultural implements and other materials. They would also help arrest black-marketing, a Government release said.

A total of 210 such Agro Kendras are to be set up in the State, based on the recommendations of the Jayathi Ghosh Commission, to ensure supply of quality agri-inputs on time, at the right price, to benefit farmers, according to the release.
