Speaking on the occasion, Mr Philip A.B. Sargunar, Chief Operating Officer (South), said the company's McDowell's brandy has emerged the highest selling brand in the world. With a market share of 56 per cent in India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh have accounted for 95 per cent of its total sales.

He said that the sales of McDowell's umbrella brand rose to 15.3 million cases in 2004-05, registering a 22.4 per cent growth over last year. UB's brandy, with a 27 per cent growth rate, has become the world's largest selling brand and is among the top 10 fastest growing brands in the world, he said.
