New Path sets up office in Bangalore

NEW Path Ventures, founded and managed by Mr Vinod Dham and Mr Tushar Dave, is setting up an Indian office in Bangalore to explore early stage investments.

The company would target technology companies with a product thrust and also hardware- oriented, Mr Tushar Dave said.

So far the company has invested in four companies in India, which include Telsima, Nevis Networks, Insilica and Montalvo. The company, which has a current funding to the tune of $90 million, has invested close to $60 million in these four ventures.

Mr Tushar said, for the current year, the company was looking at raising the funding level to $250 million, of which about 80 per cent would be earmarked for the early stage funding of companies.

The company has already begun its talks with various players in the telecom and consumer segments, he added.
