A separate bank and separate legislation and financial and credit delivery system will be a boon to the agro-based food processing industry to tap the growing global and domestic market, it said. In a statement here, the Maditssia President, Mr S. Aravind, while thanking the Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing, Government of India, Mr S.P. Singh for the move, said the draft of a model contract bill circulated to the State Government is a welcome move to bring the farmer and the processor closer.
