Colgate-Palmolive's Baddi facility goes on stream

COLGATE-Palmolive (India) Ltd's toothpaste manufacturing facility at Baddi in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh is now fully operational and has commenced commercial production, said a company release today.

Colgate-Palmolive has invested Rs 105 crore in the new facility, which is spread over an area of 36,000 sq m.

In keeping with the best in good manufacturing practices, the manufacturing area is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with advanced technology fillers, cartoners, bundlers and mixers, said the release.

Over 90 per cent of the 200 plus employees recruited at the facility are residents of Himachal Pradesh, the release said. Colgate-Palmolive's (India) product range in oral care category includes toothpastes, toothpowder and toothbrushes under the `Colgate' brand.
