Gold weakens further; silver up

GOLD prices weakened further on the bullion market on Saturday on restricted buying.

Silver .999-fineness was up Rs 10 at Rs 10,655 a kg over previous day's close.

Pure gold .999-fineness was down Rs 15 at Rs 6,275 for 10 g. Standard mint ended lower at Rs 6,240 for 10 g, down Rs 15.

CHENNAI: Bar silver Rs 10,415 a kg; retail silver Rs 11.10 a g; standard gold rs 6,320 for 10 g; 22-carat ornament gold Rs 585 a g.
