The hurricane and hassack lights are slowly fading out from the city due to improved power supply and alternative items such as emergency lights are easily available to support any crisis. Nearly a century old, shops in Radha Bazar wholesale market are engaged in the business of hurricane, hassack lantern and kerosene stoves. According to traders, business was good a decade ago but it is dull today, as the lantern and stove manufacturing industries have shifted to other States.
