Calm after the storm

An unusual serenity prevails near the Coca-Cola plant at Plachimada in Palakkad district. The Kerala State Pollution Control Board has ordered the closure of the plant on the grounds of environmental pollution. The villagers have been agitating for the closure of the plant for over three years.
