Diploma in geospatial tech

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS) is starting a diploma course in `geospatial technology'.

The six-month course, to be run in collaboration with Geotrans Technologies Pvt Ltd, will expose students to various aspects of geographic information systems (GIS), said Mr G. Chandramohan, Director, KITTS. Classes for the programme will be held on the KITTS campus in Thiruvananthapuram. KITTS and Geotrans Technologies will jointly award the diploma, he said.

The fee for the course will be Rs 75,000. Applications for the first batch of the programme will be accepted till September 6 and classes are expected to begin by the end of September.
