Hyderabad , Aug. 22

SUJANA Universal Industries, a Rs 800-crore Hyderabad based company, has signed up with Bajaj Electricals Ltd recently as an original equipment manufacturer.

In a press release, Mr K. Gopi, Chief Executive Officer of Sujana, said the pact would boost sales of the fans division in this financial year.

He said this tie-up was the first step in company's plan to become a major player in the country. It had plans to increase the production from 60,000 fans to 1.2 millions this year.

The present production capacity could handle this. "However, we need to increase human resources," he said.

Sujana, which manufactures Padmini Fans, planned to launch a new range this year. This would include exhaust fans for domestic, commercial and industrial applications.
