Unichem launches drug in S. Africa

MUMBAI: Unichem Laboratories Ltd has launched its anti-histamine Zyncet tablets (for allergic reactions) in South Africa. The product, Unichem's first in South Africa, will be distributed through Sekunjalo Health Care (Pty) Ltd, the company informed the BSE.

Unichem will also be launching an Ayurvedic anti-arthritic agent, Artrex (capsules and cream). It has received product registrations for Domadol and M-Cam for pain management and Trizac for neuropsychiatry, due for launch in the coming months. Unichem SA (Proprietary) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary in South Africa, owns all the product registrations for this market.
