`We will give deserving candidates the best possible preparation to make it to the best B-schools.'

Hyderabad , Aug. 24

CAREER Launcher, an education and training company, launched the Samriddhi Scholarship for aspirants of the Common Admission Test to the IIMs to be held in 2006.

The Scholarship coincided with the company's 10th anniversary of its formation and provides students from across the country access to the best study material, teachers and professional guidance augmenting their effort to join top B-Schools like the IIMs.

The Managing Director of Career Launcher, Mr Gautam Puri, in a statement said, "This being our 10th Anniversary year, we thought we would do something special for all the students who wish to join the IIMs. We decided to launch a comprehensive merit-cum-means scholarship programme for students interested in making a career in Management. It will give deserving candidates the best possible preparation to make it to the best B-schools."

Ten thousand students across the country appeared for this examination and the number is expected to increase exponentially in the years to come.

The Scholarship test was held simultaneously in 50 cities. The top 5 rankers in the country will get 100 per cent scholarship in a city and course of their choice. Thereby, the best possible preparation will be available for the IIMs free of cost.

Students with the next 15 ranks will get a 50 per cent scholarship and the 30 ranks after that will get a 25 per cent scholarship. There are other city specific scholarships also on offer.

Although, the examination was an aptitude test on the lines of CAT with sections on quantitative ability, reasoning and verbal ability, the examiners created an innovative question paper that caught everybody by surprise.

Career Launcher offers career-oriented training through 52 cities across India and West Asia.

It is an Intel portfolio company and since its inception in 1995, has trained more than one lakh students for different entrance exams such as CAT, IIT-JEE, BBA, BCA, National Law School, NIFT and Hotel Management.
