Industry Associations Pawan Kumar heads Quality Forum Our Bureau
Bangalore, Aug 24 THE National Association of Software and Services Company (Nasscom) has launched a Quality Forum to promote quality consciousness among the IT firms in the country. The Quality Forum is led by Mr Pawan Kumar, Chairman of vMoksha Technologies and co-chaired by Mr Lakshmi Narayan, President and CEO, Cognizant Technologies. The Quality Forum expects to enhance the international competitiveness of the Indian IT industry even while seeking to promote the India quality story by undertaking research reports and preparing handbook on best practices, among others. It is also expected to collaborate with institutions such as SEI (Software Engineering Institute) and IFPUG (International Function Point Users Group) to organise some of their examinations in India. The Forum also expects to reach out to the small and medium enterprises by organising workshops on quality and cluster programmes. It also expects to work closely with academia for defining skill sets and training needed for professionals working in the quality departments of companies.
