Strategy Corporate - Alliances & Joint Ventures Genesis Colors to bring in fashion garments brand Sanjana Jon Deepak Goel
New Delhi, Aug. 26 THE Sanjana Jon label of fashion garments would be available in the country, with the brand tying up with Genesis Colors Pvt Ltd - the holding company of designer label Satya Paul. Under the arrangement, Genesis would own and manage the Sanjana Jon label in the country. The company plans to open six exclusive stores by December next year. These stores would be opened in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Mr Sanjay Kapoor, Managing Director, Genesis Colors, said: "The company has earmarked a budget of Rs 16 crore for the setting up of these stores. "We plan to acquire another label by the end of the year. With the acquisitions, the company plans to bring in professional management in the couture business in the country." The label would be available in three ranges prêt, diffusion and platinum. While the prêt and diffusion lines would be made available as off-the-shelf garments, the platinum line would be specially customised for consumers. The prêt line would be available for Rs 1,200-4,000 and consist of fashionable daily wear for ladies between the age group of 16 and 30 years. The diffusion line would be available for Rs 7,000-30,000 and consist of Western and office wear for women. The platinum line would essentially comprise bridal wear and the prices would depend on the customer's choice and specifications.
