Analysts do not always see eye-to-eye over the probable benefits that will accrue to AP Moller-Maersk from its acquisition of P&O Nedlloyd.

The integration will cost the Dutch shipping major nearly $500 million which is well over the estimate, according to a report by Enskilda, a research agency.

However, according to investment bank UBS, the acquisition will bring considerable synergy and cost savings to the Dutch shipping major, though not immediately.
