Awards & Honours Madura Garments wins young managers award Our Bureau
New Delhi , Aug. 28 MADURA Garments emerged the winners of the 31st AIMA-TATA Steel National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM) organised by All India Management Association. The competition, which concluded in New Delhi on Saturday, had eight regional teams participating in the finals. Mr Kedar Apshankar, captain of the Madura Garments team, was adjudged the Best Young Manager 2005. Tata Motors and NTPC were the first and second runners-up respectively. The eight teams in the finals were Tata Motors Ltd and Bokaro Steel Plant from Kolkata; Reliance Industries Ltd and National Thermal Power Corporation from Mumbai; Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Maruti Udyog Ltd from New Delhi; and Aditya Birla Group and Reliance Industries from Chennai.
