Hajara is new SCI chief

MUMBAI: Mr S. Hajara, Director (Personnel), Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), has been appointed as the Chairman of the company, ending months of uncertainty on who will succeed Mr P.K. Srivastava, whose term as chairman expired today.

Mr Hajara is expected to assume charge on Thursday.

He joined the company as management trainee in 1973, after passing out of IIM, Kolkata.
