SBI to celebrate `insurance month'

Mumbai , Sept. 1

STATE Bank of India will celebrate "Insurance Month" up to September 15 at all the zonal office centres of the bank.

According to a press release, the "Insurance Month" is aimed at creating an awareness of both life insurance and general insurance available in the bank.

The bank has organised this event with its insurance partners from both life and non-life category i.e., SBI Life Insurance Company and New India Assurance Co Ltd.

According to the release, Mr S. Krishnamurthy, MD & CEO, SBI Life Insurance, said, "We will extensively utilise SBI Group's support as a platform for cross-selling life insurance products".

Mr Rajendra Beri, CMD, New India Assurance, said, "This event gives us an opportunity to interact with the huge customer base of SBI directly".
