All hands to the plough

This is with reference to the editorial "Whither diversification?" (Business Line, September 3), which points out the neglect of the farm sector. The article rightly asserts the importance of agriculture in economic growth.

And for this, sufficient investment in the sector is needed. Involving the private sector in schemes such as e-choupal and integrating such schemes with infrastructure development will give the farm sector its much-needed boost.
