Concept stores is such an initiative to take mobile retailing to the next level and provide the consumer with a better mobility experience helping them make an informed purchase decision. Nokia will roll out the concept stores in Tier one cities first." Nokia is also bringing its latest music initiative, to develop a mobile music solution for operators in India. The platform allows operators to offer customers a branded mobile music service featuring an extensive international and local music catalogue. Users will be able to browse, search, listen and download - either to their handset or PC - full length songs and RingTunes. Globally, Nokia sold more than 10 million mobile phones with an integrated digital music player in 2004 alone. In 2005, Nokia plans to introduce a wide range of music-enabled devices with expandable memory capacity. Mr Lambeek said that Nokia would bring in new applications such as Mobile TV and better imaging platforms on mobile phones. "India is not only about low end market - it's a mix across various consumer segments. We recognise that there is large urban market in India which is not yet saturated where consumers are looking for upgrades and for more exciting products." To address the rural demand, Nokia will launch handsets supporting local languages and with relevant content for the consumers.
