CLSA Fund picks up 5.4% in Apar Ind

Mumbai , Sept. 6

APAR Industries, a company into speciality oil and aluminium conductors, today said that Shinny Ltd, a private equity fund managed by CLSA has subscribed to 34.45 lakh convertible preference shares at Rs 185 aggregating Rs 63.75 crore. These shares constitute 5.4 per cent of the company's equity.

Each preference share will be converted into one equity share at Rs 185 within one year from the date of allotment, company said in a release. In today's trading, the stock closed at Rs 224 on the BSE.
