The Hindu Business Line : Zee Network ties up with PanGlobal TV to reach down under

ZEE Network on Thursday announced a tie-up with Sydney-based PanGlobal TV to offer the South-Asian population in Australia and New Zealand five channels from the network.

The programming bouquet will be delivered on PanAmSat's PAS-8 Pacific Ocean Region satellite.

Viewers in Australia and New Zealand will now have access to five channels — Zee TV (Asia Pacific beam), Zee Cinema, Zee News, Zee Muzic and Zee Smile.

"With this extension, Zee Network continues with its efforts to reach out to the South Asian diaspora across the globe. Through these channels we will be bringing Indian culture and Bollywood into the homes of 45,000 South Asian families in Australia and New Zealand," Zee said in a news release.

"In one short year, PanGlobal TV signed deals with the top names in multi-ethnic programming. Now, with Zee Network joining our DTH platform, we can offer viewers an even wider array of global fare," PanGlobal TV said in the news release.

"The addition of such a highly-regarded customer as Zee Network to our programming rooster is an ideal way to celebrate our one-year anniversary."

PanGlobal TV is a direct-to-home (DTH) multi-ethnic programming platform that reaches thousands across the Australian continent.

It is a joint marketing alliance between PanAmSat and Globecast Australia, which offers a range of transmission services to international broadcasters who wish to reach Australia's diverse multi-cultural communities.
