New Delhi , Sept. 9

FORD India launched the special edition of its Endeavour model in the Capital on Friday.

The new variant comes with features such as jaws over rider, extra lockable wheel covers and rear watcher. Priced at Rs 14.5 lakh for the 4x2 option and Rs 15.39 lakh for the 4x4 option ex-showroom in Delhi, the car comes in a `fiery red' colour. The new version also comes with beige leather seat covers, wood panelling and carpet floor mats.

The company expects to sell 5,200 Endeavours this year and claims to have 37 per cent market share in the premium SUV market in the country.

Talking on the sidelines of the launch of the new version, Mr V. Sivaramakrishnan, Vice-President, Marketing, Sales and Service, said the company expects its car sales to be flat this year with the sales figures remaining the same as last year at 24,000 units. With the launch of the new Ford vehicle in November, he said the company aims to sell 50,000 units next year.
