Officers submit progress report on inventory of Priyamvada items

Kolkata , Sept. 11

THE Special Officers appointed by the Calcutta High Court to make an inventory of the articles left behind by late Priyamvada Birla in the family houses at Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur have filed a progress report in the Court of Justice K.J. Sengupta.

The court has ordered that the locks of several safes, yet to be inventorised, may be broken open to facilitate proper inventorisation.

Counsel of Mr R.S. Lodha argued that there was no need to appoint any Administrator over the property of M.P. Birla and Priyamvada Birla, as everything was in order and all the companies under this banner were also doing fine. The hearing will resume on Monday.
