Education ICFAI placement scheme for distance learners Our Bureau
Thiruvananthapuram , Sept 11 THE Hyderabad-based ICFAI University has announced a pioneering scheme to assure placements for students of its distance learning programmes. The university has entered into an agreement with Alchemist HR Services under which successful students from the MS (Finance), MBA and MCA programmes will be suitably placed with a minimum monthly salary of Rs 20,000. Announcing this, Mr Ajit Prasad, Territory Manager, ICFAI University, told newspersons here that Alchemist offers a wide range of HR solutions to the manufacturing sector by drawing on the vast knowledge and experience of its professional team of well-qualified practitioners and experts. Alchemist currently operates from eight locations in the country - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. The ICFAI University represents a multi-State network of universities sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. These now operate from out of Uttaranchal, Tripura, Sikkim and Mizoram and are governed by the respective State legislations. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has included the ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttaranchal, in the list of universities maintained by it under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The institute launched the CFA programme in 1985. The ICFAI Business School (IBS) was established in 1995 to offer MBA programme with various specialisations. More than 9380 CFAs and MBAs have graduated from ICFAI and IBS so far. ICFAI has set up several institutions and professional bodies for imparting educational and training programmes. Its all-India network of branch offices are represented in over 200 locations. There are 180 other centres that offer full-time campus-based programmes. At least 60,000 students are currently enrolled in various campus-based and distance learning programmes. Over 1,500 faculty members are engaged in teaching, research and consulting work.
