Buyer-seller meet in Coimbatore

Our Bureau

Coimbatore , Sept. 11

A BUYER-SELLER meet has been organised by the CII, Coimbatore zone and the District Rural Development Agency for firming up a direct link between SHGs (self-help groups) and the corporates.

CII sources are hoping that the two-day meet, slated for September 12 and 13 at the Annapoorna Kalaiarangam would generate huge volume of business for the SHGs.

Around 50 SHGs from Coimbatore, Erode, Namakkal and Nilgiris have been screened by the DRDA from around 1,000 groups in this region to ensure display of quality products.

The organisers are hoping that the meet would pave the way for corporates to involve self-help groups in big business.
