HYDERABAD: Suryajyoti Spinning Mills Ltd (SSML) has unveiled major expansion plans involving Rs 195 crore investment for its production facilities in Andhra Pradesh.

In a communiqué to stock exchanges, the company said that in phase-I of the expansion, 25,000 spindles would be added at a cost of Rs 45 crore, taking the overall capacity to about 90,000 spindles.

The company plans a new unit in Mahabubnagar district for which it had finalised the land and ordered the latest imported machinery. The unit would start commercial production in the second half of next year.

The company also said it was exploring the idea of setting up a fully integrated weaving, processing and garmenting unit with Rs 150-crore outlay in the next phase of expansion.
