Rubber prices remain unchanged

THE domestic spot rubber prices remained unchanged on Wednesday. According to dealers, the market was in a holiday mood and transactions were in an extremely low key. Sheet rubber closed flat at Rs 60 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi.

The rubber futures improved as RSS 3 recovered partially to 181 yen in TOCOM.

The NMCE September delivery contract was quoted at Rs 62.75 (Rs 62.60), October contract at Rs 59.43 (Rs 58.71), November at Rs 57.50 (Rs 57.04) and December at Rs 57.98 (Rs 57.22) per kg for RSS 4.

The markets will remain closed on Thursday on account of Onam.

Spot prices a kg were: RSS-4: Rs 60 (Rs 60); RSS-5: Rs 58.25 (Rs 58.25); ungraded: Rs 55.50 (Rs 55.50); ISNR 20: Rs 59 (Rs 59) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 39.50 (Rs 39.50).
