Retailing Clarins opens another beauty studio Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 15 THE one-billion-euro French company Clarins today announced its fourth exclusive studio in India at Hyderabad. It plans to locate one more during the year. The Regional Manager for Clarins, Asia, Ms Lina Ong, told Business Line that Asia has emerged as one of the fastest growing markets for Clarins, a professional beauty services and products company. Beauty care for men has also taken centre stage calling for products and services that are custom made to suit them. To cater to this requirement, Clarins has launched an exclusive range of products for men in the country. After making early in-roads into India, the company is in the process of entering other countries in the region. Clarins manages about 160 beauty centres across the world. Of them, 53 are located in Asia. Apart from four beauty institutes, Clarins sells beauty products through 13 retail outlets in the country. "We have a totally different approach when it comes to locating our institutes. Clarins does not believe in a franchisee route for expansion of its institutes like some other companies. Instead, it recruits therapeutics, trains them and then locates them to manage institutes. The beauty training is an ongoing process," Ms Ong explained.
