Mangalore , Sept. 16

SRINIVAS College of Postgraduate Management Studies in Mangalore will provide Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) facility for its MBA students, according to the college Principal, Dr P.S. Aithal.

Addressing presspersons here, Dr Aithal said his institution was the first one to provide such a service in the Mangalore region.

Mr Ananthakrishna, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Karnataka Bank Ltd, would inaugurate the facility on September 19.

Stating that all MBA students in his college were equipped with laptop computers, Dr Aithal said the Wi-Fi facility would enable students and staff to access the Internet anywhere in the campus. Around 300 students in the college would get the benefit of this facility. The college would also organise an intercollegiate management festival, `Magma-2005', on September 19.

Mr A. Srinivasa Rao, President of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr Ananthakrishna would be the chief guest on the occasion. Magma would feature six events based on various aspects of management. Nearly 30 colleges from all over the State were likely to take part in the event, he said.
