Granules India to pay 12.5 pc

Hyderabad , Sept. 18

THE board of directors of Granules India Ltd (GIL), at a meeting held here on Saturday, has recommended a dividend of 12.5 per cent for the financial year ended June 30, 2005.

In the previous accounting period, the company paid a dividend of 10 per cent.

For the year 2004-05, the company posted a gross turnover of Rs 137.61 crore compared with Rs 128.55 crore in the 15-month period of the previous year, recording a growth of 34 per cent on an annualised basis. The company earned a net profit of Rs 6.66 crore for the year under review (Rs 5.57 crore), an increase of 49 per cent.

In a press release here, the GIL Director, Mr N.R. Ganti, said the new paracetamol dedicated active pharmaceutical ingredients facility is expected to take off by December.
