Chennai , Sept. 18

MANAGEINFRA, the IT Infrastructure services division of San Jose-based Cybernet Software Systems (CSS), has struck a partnership with IBM India, whereby it will provide services on Lotus Notes/Domino platform to large companies in India.

A statement from CSS said that the combine would provide infrastructure management solutions and help companies improve performance of IT assets.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Shiv Kumar, CEO, CSS, said, "In our company, using a combination of Linux and Lotus Notes we have been able to cut down the number of servers we use to service our requirements from 30 to just one."

In addition to lower costs of physical infrastructure, the people needed to manage the system would also be fewer. CSS now has only one system administrator compared to an earlier three.
