THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigyan Utsav 2005, the science fair that was slated to be held at Kochi during this month, is being postponed to November due to the local body elections in the State.

The five-day programme based on the theme "Natural and manmade disasters and their judicious management" is being jointly organised by the Scientific Awareness Forum (SAFE), Ernakulam, Corporation of Cochin and the Rotary Club of Cochin North.

Eminent scientists and other service organisations from all over the country are associating themselves with the event, a spokesman for SAFE said here.
